On the morning of November 19, professor wang tijian of nanjing university, at the invitation of the school of atmospheric sciences, gave an academic report entitled “the interaction and collaborative control of fine particulate matter and ozone in the atmosphere” in the meteorological building 310.This report was chaired by hua wei, associate professor of school of atmospheric science, chengdu university of information technology.

In the report, professor wang tijian introduced the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics of PM2.5 and O3 in China in recent years, as well as the change trend of the concentration of these two air pollutants under the national emission reduction measures, and further used box modeling to analyze the interaction between the two, and briefly introduced the influence of aerosol on O3.By using the current basic method of source analysis of atmospheric particulate matter, professor wang compared the analysis results of PM2.5 source model in different periods in nanjing, especially during the 2014 youth Olympic Games. Based on the RegAEMS model and WRF/ camx-osat model, the time series of PM2.5 principal component and O3 source analysis were simulated respectively.Professor wang pointed out that in the future, ISORROPIA model, SORGAM model and VBS model can be used to forecast and warn air pollution in China, so as to realize the coordinated control of particulate matter and ozone.

After the report, professor wang tijian estimated the matching between China’s environmental control policy and energy structure adjustment and future air pollution forecast and warning based on the current pollution change situation in China, the model mentioned in the report and the source analysis process.In addition, professor wang tijian also discussed with students and teachers the factors that influence the phenomenon of high ozone value.During the whole sharing process, teachers and students actively interacted with experts, and the atmosphere was lively.

Wang tijian is professor and doctoral supervisor of nanjing university, and vice dean of school of atmospheric sciences.He has been engaged in academic visiting research in Hong Kong polytechnic university, university of gothenburg, Sweden, etc.IGAC(International Global Atmospheric Chemistry) member of Chinese committee, secretary general of Atmospheric science teaching steering committee of ministry of education, vice chairman of Atmospheric environment branch of Chinese association for environmental sciences.Mainly engaged in regional air pollution and climate change, atmospheric environmental chemical simulation and monitoring, air quality and haze weather forecast research.He has published more than 200 academic papers in professional journals at home and abroad, including more than SCI70.
