Graduate students from the school of atmospheric science went to Beijing to participate in graduate academic BBS of global change
On May 23, 2019, the sixth Chinese graduate student BBS on global change was successfully held in the school of physics, Peking University. The BBS judges were professor Lin yanling from tsinghua university, researcher Jiang dayan from the institute of atmospheric physics of the Chinese academy of sciences, professor Meng zhiyong from Peking University and doctor ma junhua from the institute of geographical resources of the Chinese academy of sciences. In addition, professor Hu yongyun, dean of the school of physics, Peking University, and professor Wang kaicun, deputy dean of the institute of global change and earth system sciences, Beijing normal university, attended BBS as special guests.
More than 10 outstanding graduate students from the school of atmospheric science of our university signed up to participate in this BBS exchange meeting. In the demonstration of scientific research results, zeng zhilin won the award of excellent oral report for her concise and clear explanation of her report “A record-breaking Extreme Rainfall Event over Southern China During August 2018: Observation and Mechanism Analysis”.
In the poster visit and mutual evaluation, Lin zouxing’s wall newspaper, “impact of the asian-pacific oscillation on autumn precipitation in central and eastern China” had a clear theme, rich content and beautiful design, which won praise from most teachers and won the award of excellent wall newspaper.
In this BBS conference for graduate students for global change, experts and judges gave precise and unique comments and guidance, and the friendly exchanges with other students benefited the graduate students of our college.
